Founder and friend, Carol R.S. Treacy, created The WRITE Cause in 1989. Carol’s dream was to see the end of animal abuse and the destruction of our environment. I purchased The WRITE Cause on January 1, 2002 because of my lifelong passion for helping animals and my belief in Carol’s vision.
Since 1989, The WRITE Cause has written thousands of letters lobbying for change in animal welfare laws. We continue to write the letters you don’t have time to research and write. We follow bills in legislature and track companies with disconcerting reputations relating to animal welfare and/or the environment, then send letters asking for change.
Subjects for our newsletters are current animal welfare and/or environmental events. We write respectful, well-researched letters to key decision makers. When appropriate we ask the recipient to respond to our concerns.
